XRC Bumper Package

There are many manufacturers that make bumpers for Jeeps and each of these manufacturers has a variety of styles.  However, there is one manufacturer that stands head and shoulders above the rest…Smittybilt.  Smittybilt actually has a few various lines of bumpers for Jeeps including the XRC line.

With the XRC front bumper, the first thing that you will notice is the ground clearance that it gives you.  The raised corners mean that you get the added clearance that you need for the trails as well as greater approach and departure angles.  The bumper is made from a single piece of cold rolled steel tubing that is .12 wall and 1.75 inches thick over the kickers and riders.  The bumper also features a center plate for mounting a winch and it can hold up to a 19 thousand pound winch.  The center plate wraps around the lower cross member and the frame horns.  To finish it all off, the bumper has a powder coat in matte black.  It is covered by a 5 year warranty.

The XRC series also has a rear bumper.  This bumper is also made from a single piece of cold rolled steel measuring 3/16 of an inch in thickness.  This type of steel is incredibly strong and can handle an amazing amount of pressure. 

The rear XRC bumper has a Class III hitch receiver along with 2 double welded D ring mounts.  The rear XRC bumper also has the option of coming with a tire carrier of the swing away style.   This tire carrier features a cam lock system complete with a safety catch.  This allows for the tire mount to be adjusted to whatever angle the user needs.  It also features a billet handle that allows it to be easily opened and locked into place for when you need access to the rear cargo area of your Jeep.
