What A Winch | Winch Video Favorites

Smittybilt winches are made to be for vehicle recovery but there is nothing stopping you from being creative.  My favorite Smittybilt winch videos include ones in which the winch is being used for "off-label" purposes.

Kids are bored?  Use your Smittybilt Winch to make a zipline!

Just throw your winch line over a tree.  Then use your winch hook and recovery rope to make the "swing" of the zip line.  Don't forget to point your finger sternly at son when he can't resist kicking big sister in the behind as she sits on the zip line swing.

Quicksand?  No Problem For Your Smittybilt Winch

I know that recovering a stuck ten thousand pound truck is exactly the purpose for which a Smittybilt winch is intended to be used.  But I just love the pure surprise and enthusiasm that the videographer is showing at the fact that his truck is actually being liberated by a Smittybilt winch.  This guy, and his country accent, kill me.

Tree roots interfering with your water lines?  Uproot the tree with your Smittybilt Winch!

Far, far, far from the bumpy, muddy, rocky paths of an off-road adventure, suburban Dad puts his Smittybilt winch to use right there in the side yard (with a little help from Uncle).  The look on the little girl's face as she gets to look into the hole left by the tree uprooted by Dad's Smittybilt winch is priceless.  All those bugs and worms right there under the tree.  Who knew?

Read that Smittybilt winch instructional manual cover to cover and then ignore it.  I bet you can think of some fun and nearly useful creative purposes for your Smittybilt winch that the manufacturer never even considered.
